I put together a questionnaire of the following questions, and sent it to a variety of people from a variety of countries to gauge what sort of content my travel guide platform will require to be as innovative as I want it to be.
When and where was the last place you visited?
How often do you travel abroad?
Do you ever use travel guides? If so, which kind? Do you use printed guides or apps?
What aspect of travel do you enjoy the most?
What (if anything) do you think could enhance your travel experience in future?
The main points I can draw from these responses are that existing travel guides are considered “too boring”, they require more precise/concise information that’s easy to understand, and generally people would prefer a more local standpoint, with opinions and tips from natives of that city or country.
